Introduction -

Hello I am going to show you the Principles of Effective Communication in this introduction i am going to talk about General, Written and Communication Skills and how all these important principles help in the Rainbow Charity with the patients there.

General -


What is general communication -

General communication is the transmission of information or message from one person to the other or among individuals through the use of the various channels such as sending emails, letter writing radio among other to achieve mutual understanding feedback

How is it used -

General communication is used to transfer information or a message to other people to understand what each other is talking about and trying to work things out


Why is it neccesary -

general communication is neccessary as you need to talk to people throughout life to be able to socialise and have fun aswell as strictly get things done on time and in a professional manner just like in a job.


How could General communication be used in the rainbow organisation between clients -

General communication can be used in the organisation by clients sending emails to each other and also verbally talking to each other this is the easiest ways of communication.


How could General communication be used in the rainbow organisation between staff -

it can be used between staff by emailing each other, texting and phoning each other, aswell as verbally talking to each other this is helpful in all ways as they are all convenient and simple ways to communicate.




Questions and Answers -

Questions and Answers are an effective way of Communication. These are used frequently in PowerPoint Presentations. They are part of General Communication Skills and are a great way to get feedback about your PowerPoint. Questions and Answers help you to ensure that the audience is listening because at the end if they don’t ask many questions it’s because they weren’t listening to well to what you were saying in the PowerPoint. Question and Answers are a good quiz to play with the audience listening to your PowerPoint as i said above it shows if they are listening or not also it shows their interest in the subject depending on how many questions they ask.

Accuracy -
Accuracy is very important when it comes to Communicating you need to know and think what you’re going to say to someone after they have finished speaking to you. You also need to make sure if you are doing a PowerPoint Presentation that everything is spelt correctly and all sentences make sense. in a PowerPoint your font needs to be very readable and the correct colour this makes life a lot easier for your audience when they are trying to read it.



 






Interpersonal -



What is Interpersonal Communication -

Interpersonal Communication is when you are talking to someone face to face or when your message to them is being communicated so that the audience can see and/or hear you (even if you cannot see or hear them) it is necessary to communicate with people so you can let them know what you want to say to them. In the Rainbow Organisation it could be used between clients and staff as it is a really good way of communicating. We can also use emotional support to help clients at the charity.
How is it used -

Interpersonal Communication is used through methods like, verbal, signing and lip reading. these are all different ways of how is it being used to communicate with others. this is a good way of communicating with people as it is a different and unique way.


How could Interpersonalcommunication be used in the rainbow organisation between clients -

Interpersonal communication can be used in the rainbow organisation between clients so that there are a group of people you can talk to and they will hear you. it is a great way of communicating with each other as it is one of the most common ways of communicating successfully.


How could Interpersonal communication be used in the rainbow organisation between staff -

it can be used between staff during meetings or social events so that the group of staff all can hear what you are saying and give you feedback to what your saying. it is important to talk to staff about different things and interpersonal communicating is good for the staff.


Methods -



Verbal -


Verbal is used to physically speak to someone and talk to them using your mouth. This works for most people but for example people who are deaf might rely on Lip Reading.


Signing -

Sign language is used everywhere and even people who are deaf can still use sign language to show and express different emotions, words. sign language is used in many ways as I have said it is used to express different emotions, words etc. but you can also make gestures


Lip Reading
-

Lip-reading is seeing someone’s lips actually move. The movements of the lips and the tongue, together with facial expression and body language are all clues for the Lip reader. Lip Reading is used for someone who is deaf or someone trying to find out what the person is saying and trying to listen to them better by picking up what they’re saying easier.



Positive Language -

Positive language is good for everyone and helps them succeed with different tasks. It sounds helpful when you say something positive because it lifts that persons emotions and encourages them to do well in what they do. In Rainbow when you speak to clients you want to speak positively



Negative Language -


Negative language can put people off track as it is a bad approach for you to do your work for example if your in a bad mood and your trying to get some work done the chances are you wont do your work.



Written -

Written Communcation is for example in like a letter where you write out a note for someone and you proofread it and make sure there is correct grammar and spelling on it. written communication is a good way of communicating to someone who is in a different country as you can send them a postcard, an email etc.


Grammar and Spelling -

Grammar and spelling is very important when it comes to typing up emails, writing letters or even sending a text message to your friend. It is important to spell things correctly so other people can understand what you’re saying. grammar and spelling is a good way of teaching yourself to do better while writing out application forms and it is also good for things like writing letters.


Proofreading -

Proofreading is very important particularly before you hand in an application form for a job, handing in an assignment for college or even sending a letter to someone. You can use the auto correct features on a lot of Smartphone’s and computers today. Correct spelling and grammar is essential in the Rainbow Charity as we need to let others know information and making sure it is spelt correctly and makes sense.
